overview

pilet operates a mobile and web application for personal content collecting. this policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

information we collect

pilet may be used without an account. in that case, all data remains on your device and we collect nothing.

if you create an account, we collect and store the following:

• your email address and encrypted password
• content you save to your piles, including links, notes, images, sketches, and associated metadata
• usage data such as timestamps and organizational tags you apply to your content

how we use your information

we use the information we collect solely to provide and maintain the pilet service, including syncing your content across devices, sending account-related communications such as password resets, and restoring your data in the event of reinstallation.

we do not use your content for advertising, model training, or any purpose beyond delivering the service to you.

data storage and security

your data is stored on servers provided by Supabase, Inc., a third-party infrastructure provider. content is access-controlled so that only authenticated requests from your account can read or modify your data. images and files are stored in private buckets and are not publicly accessible.

while we implement reasonable security measures, no method of electronic storage is completely secure. we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

data sharing

we do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or content with third parties, except as required to operate the service (e.g., our infrastructure provider) or as required by law.

data retention and deletion

we retain your data for as long as your account remains active. you may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting support@pilet.app.

your rights

depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. to exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the address below.

cookies and local storage

the pilet app uses local storage to maintain your session. the pilet landing page does not use cookies or third-party tracking scripts.

changes to this policy

we may update this policy from time to time. material changes will be communicated via the email address associated with your account. the date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last revised.
